As a student, I would hate it
when news papers kept writing about Chameleon; I thought they were his fans
trying to push him down our throats. But when I joined the industry, I learnt
that news papers only wrote about him because he was a news maker and thus
reporting about him was inevitable.
As I type this, I can't help to
feel that some readers are starting to think the same about the continuous
stories of Radio and Weasel. Just last week we reported they were to perform at
the Big brother premier eviction on Sunday, then they got nominated for those
Nigerian awards and as I was trying to put the note book down they found their
way into it again.
Word reaching our desk is that
the Good lyfe crew is not all smiles after the video for their blockbuster hit Magnetic
was rejected by MTV Base.
It’s said that the video has been
on the shelves of the big station for about three months yet they've never
played it, on seeing this happen the boys consulted with an insider who bluntly
let the truth out.
Not to be out done, the boys made
an emergency trip to South Africa a week prior to their Big Brother
performance.
While there, the duo re-employed
the services of Tough Sunday a south African production crew behind mega videos
like P-Square's Beautiful Onyinye, Navio's One and Only, Kata,
Young Zee's Criminal Swag, as well as the duo's Fantastic and Can't
let you go.
Together they re-shot the Magnetic
video and other new projects they chose to code name; the invisible project
2014.
The boys later joined the Channel
O TV crew to talk African and Ugandan music at large, it’s at this time that
they premiered their latest video Money also directed by Tough Sunday.
The Good lyfe crew has been on a
high since this year started and across Africa, they are viewed as favorites to
win this year's converted BET award where they are nominated along side musical
forces such as 2Face and Ice Prince.
